Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for supervising the day to day operations within the laboratory facility ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Responsible for supervising the day to day operations within the laboratory facility ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- To supervise the day to day running of the laboratory ensuring that all activities are completed on schedule and according to written test procedures, in full accordance with Company policy and procedure
- Assist with review of client data reports for accuracy, correct interpretation and calculation of material and in the format suitable for presentation to the client prior to submitting to Manager for confirmation
- Ensure the required laboratory maintenance, calibration and, if required, repairs to equipment at work site is undertaken as per procedures
- Assist with the review and testing of new techniques and practice to support future business
- Supervise the carrying out of client work programmes and ensure that progress and results are available for clients information
- Ensure there is compliance with all administrative procedures and work instructions used within laboratory
- Undertake the supervision of direct reports
- Liaise with manager, colleagues .internal and external departments as and when required to ensure all questions, queries and technical support are actioned in a timely manner
- Hold a formal science based qualification
- 5+ years practical work experience within a laboratory environment
- Supervisory experience
