Our client, a U.S.-based financial and legal consulting firm that specializes in supporting entrepreneurs, investors, traders, and small business owners, is seeking a seasoned Senior Revenue Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. This strategic role is ideal for a proactive revenue specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be a key contributor in overseeing and optimizing the Company’s revenue accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606), streamlining processes, and supporting the implementation of scalable systems.

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play an instrumental role in our financial close process and act as a cross-functional business partner to sales, FP&A, legal, and operations teams. You’ll be expected to elevate the revenue accounting function, implement best-in-class practices, and support strategic initiatives as Prime Corporate Services continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly revenue close process, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue and deferred revenue.
  • Analyze and document customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Maintain and update the Company’s revenue recognition policy and ensure alignment with evolving business practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in ASC 606 and revenue recognition, guiding internal stakeholders and providing solutions to multi-element arrangements.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to address contract modifications, performance obligations, and non-standard deal structures.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions for the revenue-to-cash cycle, reducing manual processing and enhancing reporting capabilities.
  • Monitor sales activity in Salesforce to ensure all activity is feeding into NetSuite.
  • Work with the Salesforce development team to correct any errors in the data transformation from Salesforce to NetSuite
  • Build new product items and maintain all products items in NetSuite
  • Reconcile payments received with merchant services report
  • Participate in month-end close process
  • Drive improvements in existing financial systems and partner with IT and external vendors to scale revenue-related workflows.
  • Support internal reporting needs through the preparation of revenue analytics and variance analyses for senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new product rollouts, third-party revenue arrangements, and entity expansion initiatives from a revenue accounting perspective.
  • Manage data integrity across systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to ensure consistency and accuracy in revenue recognition and billing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and help enhance the revenue-related control environment.
  • Support the Controller and finance team in other accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to manage complex revenue streams and interpret multi-element arrangements.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing revenue accounting processes and systems.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets. PowerBI and data visualization skills are a plus.
