We’re Hiring: Finance and Accounting Analyst (Remote - LATAM)

Full-time | Reports to Finance Manager | Educational Industry

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance and Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, managing accounting operations, and supporting financial planning and analysis to help drive strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. HRIS Management (Rippling)

  • Register and onboard new employees on Rippling, ensuring all records are accurate and complete.
  • Manage updates (salary changes, promotions, role changes, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Keep employee data organized and current: departments, managers, benefits, employment status, etc.

2. Payroll Processing

  • Review and validate time-tracking and attendance records.
  • Coordinate with managers to confirm hours before each payroll cycle.
  • Ensure payroll reflects hours worked, leave taken, and benefits accurately.

3. Policy Development & Compliance

  • Draft and update HR policies aligned with U.S. and Puerto Rican labor laws.
  • Monitor legal compliance and support fair, ethical resolution of workplace issues.

4. Employee Requests & Leave Management

  • Process leave requests (sick, vacation, special leave), ensuring proper documentation.
  • Make sure all approvals align with internal policies.

5. Recruitment & Selection

  • Post open roles internally and externally.
  • Review applications and resumes through Rippling.
  • Screen candidates and coordinate interviews, assessments, and documentation.
  • Occasionally participate in virtual or in-person job fairs.

6. Pre-employment Documentation

  • Coordinate pre-employment steps: health insurance enrollment, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Communicate with labs and third-party vendors to follow up on confirmations.

7. Hiring & Role Formalization

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts aligned with local labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate job descriptions and employee records (digital and/or physical).

8. Onboarding & Orientation

  • Lead engaging onboarding sessions covering policies, systems, and company culture.
  • Ensure all required documentation is reviewed and signed, including the employee handbook.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in HR roles (HRBP or HR Analyst) for U.S. or Puerto Rican companies (remotely is a plus!).
  • Hands-on experience with Rippling is required.
  • Comfortable using tools like Slack, ClickUp, Notion, or Asana.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data discreetly.
  • Bilingual or fluent in English and Spanish.
