Our client, a dynamic Fleet Management Software & GPS telematics company focused on helping police, government, utilities and equipment rental fleets run efficiently, is looking to hire a top-tier software engineer to

help continue their advancement as a leader in the fleet management and GPS telematics space.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our client's dynamic team and play a key role in planning, developing, and maintaining our fleet telematics software. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a strong background in software development, a keen eye for our customers's needs and expertise in a range of technologies primarily including JavaScript, Node.js, React, SQL, and AWS services. There are also opportunities to work with C# .NET, React Native, and iOS / Android so these skills are an added bonus.

platform. We are looking for an engineer who can be a key contributor, identify potential platform issues, and help define product requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for our fleet telematics solutions while minimizing technical debt
• Lead and contribute to technical projects from planning through release.
• Become an expert of the Track Star platform, code base, and its architecture through effective collaboration with leadership, UI/UX, QA, support, and other developers.
• Translate product requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans to
  
  

ensure timely delivery.

• Follow development best practices including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Follow SCRUM best practices to contribute to the product roadmap, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, and improve product velocity.
• Effectively troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure the quality and reliability of our software platform.
  
  

Qualifications

• C1/C2 English level.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Nice to have)
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong proficiency in Javascript and Node.js.
• 5+ years of experience in front-end development following modern standards with expertise in HTML5, CSS, React, and MVC framework principles
• 5+ years of cloud computing experience ideally within AWS (EC2, RDS, DynamoDB,Redshift, etc).
• Expert knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in Git. Comfortable branching, merging, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional languages and tools including mobile development (React Native, iOS, and/or Android)
• Strong understanding of data transmission protocols including TAIP, TCP, UDP, MQTT, or other relevant protocols used in IoT communication.
• Deep understanding of the fleet telematics industry, including knowledge of competitors, market dynamics, and customer needs.
• Knowledgeable in Scrum Master would be a plus
• AWS certification would be a plus
